  • New client 20070828-01 released
  • This release fixes OpenVPN timeout values that were simply a bit too small for some connectivity situations.

Also, a new switch has been added to the "Connection" panel in the Configuration window. If enabled, the HTTPS connection protocol uses true SSL to wrap the connection between client and server. While this won't add any additional security (we can't check the certificate of the server, or else others could as well and therefore distinguish the YF connection from other SSL traffic, and we can't have that of course, can we?), it fools firewalls and proxies that have been able to tell the difference between our connection and true SSL. So if the HTTPS connection protocol did not work for you, it might work now if you enable this checkbox.

Let me stress again that there is no benefit in ticking this checkbox if you don't have to. It won't buy you anything, you'll only waste CPU.
